Ashley Carter, LGPC
Ashley Carter, LGPCTherapist
Thank you for taking the first step toward better mental health. My name is Ashley, I am an LGPC in the state of Maryland. I have five years of experience working in the behavioral health and mental health field. I have worked with children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings. I have experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, adjustment problems/life stress, emotion regulation problems, grief and loss, eating disorders, Autism/ADHD, and trauma.
During therapy, I believe it is important for me to have a collaborative professional relationship with each client so that we can collectively meet the client’s needs and goals. I prioritize building rapport at the onset of treatment and meeting my client where he or she is at.
Utilizing a multi-modal approach, my style includes components of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Humanistic, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment), Strength-Based, Narrative and SFBT (Solution Focused Brief) therapy.
I believe that my clients are the authors of their own lives and know themselves best. I am here to support my clients in the best way possible and provide a space that is safe and non-judgmental. I hope to be able to guide you on your journey and walk with you as we work toward mental well-being.
